In the Trio Saint Tropez(together with violinist Julia Czerniawska), Subsystem dive into the world of French Jazz & Swing – from Django Reinhardt to Boris Vian. The resulting music is a surrealistic collage, Faux Latin grooves mixed with noise improvisations and chamber music miniatures, a multicultural melting pot between Paris, New York and Berlin.
This creates an unconventional crossover: the band can sound like a string trio one moment, groove like a funk ensemble the next, and then dive into free improvisation.
This project was developed as a commissioned work as part of the Berlin concert series “Zugabe!!! Django Reinhardt and French Jazz,” sponsored by the Berlin Senate. After the first successful performance, the three musicians were so enthusiastic about the possibilities of the line-up and repertoire that it became a “working band.” Since then, they have been exploring the possibilities of this unusual trio – imaginative, witty and virtuosic.

Through her involvement in various bands and her jazz studies with Didier Lockwood in Paris, she developed her musical freedom and joy in discovering different musical styles.
